You wait until the quarterly numbers are looking a bit ropey, you call an all-hands, and you tell everyone the company is pivoting to become &ldquo;AI-first&rdquo; and that regrettably this means saying goodbye to a meaningful percentage of the workforce. You then go on CNBC and talk about the future.</p>
